So: have you ever wanted to see this game in 1080p (w/smooth edges) and true widescreen (I don't just mean stretching out a 480p/4:3 image)? Well, here's your chance! =)
Unfortunately, many of this game's cutscenes are pre-rendered, so they aren't improved much by increasing the internal resolution/applying anti-aliasing (in fact, much of my absence was spent experimenting with various programs/filters/etc. to see if I could make any notable improvements, but nothing seemed to be worth all the extra trouble). Worst-case scenario: they'll look much the same as they do on a PS2.
However, the gameplay and the rest of the cutscenes look great. I have to say this game looks really damn good with increased resolution and anti-aliasing.
In addition to the eye candy, I've also played through the game quite a few times and know most of the ins and outs of the system. If you're looking for some ideas on how to build your characters and prepare for/thrash each boss without needing to do a ridiculous amount of grinding, you've come to the right place.
